Punchmark is not a ring builder, and that is the thing to get straight before comparing anything. It is a full website platform for jewelry retailers: hosting, a CMS, e-commerce, POS integration, diamond search, brand catalogues, and a ring builder as one feature inside it. So “a Punchmark alternative” means two completely different searches depending on what you actually want to replace.
Ruby Kinglet replaces one part of Punchmark, not the platform. Updated July 2026.
Work out which thing you are replacing
If your website is fine and only the ring builder disappoints, you want a configurator, and you can keep your site. If the platform itself is the problem, slow to change, hard to update, priced as a bundle you only half use, you want a website platform, and the ring builder is a small part of that decision. These are different budgets and different projects. Conflating them is how jewelers end up rebuilding a site they did not need to rebuild.
What Punchmark covers
Websites for jewelry retailers, built around the trade: a SiteManager CMS, e-commerce, POS integration, diamond search with live pricing and certified specs from connected vendors, brand catalogue data, digital marketing, and an interactive ring builder that pairs vendor diamonds with settings. Pricing is by package tier and is not published in full, so expect a conversation. For an independent retailer who wants one vendor to handle the whole web presence, that bundle is the point.
The two sets of alternatives
| If you want to replace | Options | Price (July 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| The whole platform | Shopify plus apps | Shopify plan plus per-app fees |
| The whole platform | GemFind (websites plus RingBuilder) | Quoted per customer |
| The whole platform | WooCommerce or Webflow plus an embed | Hosting plus the embed |
| Just the ring builder | Keyideas RingBuilder | $145/month |
| Just the ring builder | Custom Ring Builder | $99/month |
| Just the ring builder | Ring Facet | $70/month |
| Just the customizer | Ruby Kinglet | $179/month ($125 annual) |
Replacing the platform
Shopify plus apps is the common route and it inverts the trade-off: you assemble the stack yourself, you pay per app, and you get a much larger ecosystem plus the ability to change one piece without changing everything. The cost is that nobody owns the whole outcome. GemFind is the closest like-for-like, offering websites and a ring builder together, and quotes per customer. WooCommerce or Webflow with an embedded configurator suits anyone who wants full control of the site and is comfortable maintaining it. Note that bundled platforms usually include POS and catalogue integrations you will need to rebuild separately, and that is where these migrations actually cost money.
Replacing only the builder
Cheaper and far less disruptive. On Shopify, Keyideas at $145, Custom Ring Builder at $99, or Ring Facet at $70. Off Shopify, or on Punchmark itself, you need something that embeds as HTML rather than installs into a platform, which rules out most of the App Store.
Ruby Kinglet's customizer is part of its Studio plan at $179 a month, or $125 billed annually, flat, with no setup fee and no per-order fee. It runs on Shopify with cart integration and embeds on any site that takes HTML. Three formats: Showcase, pre-rendered images swapped on click; Builder, a full AI customizer that renders the shopper's exact piece and collects it as a quote request; and Visualizer, a preview engine that sits behind a customization UI you already have. It covers rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings, and the same workspace also covers design, CAD, and product photos.
The honest limits: it is not a website platform, it has no POS integration, and it does not connect to a diamond feed. If those are why you are on Punchmark, this replaces one tile, not the wall.
Choose by fit
Stay on Punchmark if you want one vendor accountable for the whole web presence and the POS and catalogue integrations are doing real work. Move to Shopify plus apps if you want a bigger ecosystem and are willing to assemble it. Swap only the builder if the site is fine and the configurator is the weak part, which is the cheapest fix and the one most people actually need.
Common questions
What is an alternative to Punchmark?
It depends what you are replacing. For the whole website platform, Shopify plus apps, GemFind, or WooCommerce and Webflow with an embed. For just the ring builder, Keyideas at $145, Custom Ring Builder at $99, or Ring Facet at $70. For a customizer that embeds anywhere, Ruby Kinglet at $179.
Is Punchmark a ring builder?
No. It is a full website platform for jewelry retailers, with hosting, a CMS, e-commerce, POS integration, diamond search, and brand catalogues. The ring builder is one feature inside it.
Can I replace only Punchmark's ring builder?
Usually, if your site accepts an HTML embed. That is far cheaper and less disruptive than migrating the platform, and for most jewelers the configurator is the part that disappoints rather than the site.
How much does Punchmark cost?
It sells package tiers that vary by POS integration, included brands, diamond vendors, and support level. Full pricing is not published, so expect a quote.
